Hi all,
I have a customers system in and am struggling with one final issue.
There is a 30s delay on XP boot that I cannot fathom out.
The XP Boot Progress bar screen is displayed, no hdd activity and then 30 seconds later boot continues as normal and at a quick speed.
I have added a few switches to boot.ini and it loads to mup.sys quickly and then hangs there for 30s. The next entry is processr.sys.
I have tried to use bootvis and boot log XP to log the boot in more detail but with either of these tracing the boot I cannot boot as get a BSOD. I can get into safe mode.
The delay is present when booting into safe mode.
I have switched off DEP and still have the problem.
Disconnected as much hardware as I can and still have the issue.
Any other app's which could give me that vital clue or any of your own ideas?
Thanks.
