Hi, I had dual boot with XP and Vista on seperate partitions. I didnt want Vista so i just formatted the whole vista drive. Now whenever i ever boot up, the boot-up selection screen comes up, instead of going straight to XP, even though there is no vista.

Is there a file in Xp that i can delete so that it boots straight to XP, or will i have to reformat <-- would like to avoid this to save time.

Thanx

Edit: Nevermind, fixed it with easybcd

Vista installs a new boot manager when it is installed. As standard you need to use the BCDedit from a vista command prompt to alter the settings. However you can also use this tool

http://www.vistabootpro.org/

And it will work under XP.

You will be able to use it to switch the default OS to boot back to XP. You could also reduce the timer to say 0 seconds.
