Hi all,

Ok so I managed to install XP on a MSI netbook after some issues with RAID drivers. However the netbook also has a SSD that I wanted to install XP on. So once in XP i used a plug in DVD drive and tried to install XP to the SSD. However it did not give me the option to install on the SSD so I abandoned the install.

Now whenever I boot up there are two options:

Microsoft windows xp proffesional
Microsoft windows xp proffesional setup

It is now defaulting to the setup and if I take my eyes off it for a few minuits it starts to boot up setup.

Does anyone know how I can default it to XP proffesional??

Thanks you

Ive already had a look in MSCONFIG. But not sure what to change. There is nothing in tools, startup or services.

I guess I need to change something in System.ini or Win.ini, as in the general tab its set to normal startup.

Yea thats what I initially though but for some reason its not there. Hmmm...

I would attach and attachment but I cant on this forum so have put a pic on imageshack.

You could manually edit the boot.ini file (it's in the root of c: ) but that's not something to be undertaken lightly - if you get it wrong it's a pain to fix.
