Hello,
Just gone back to XP from Vista for various reasons (not really want to discuss them here).
Anyway, I have an odd issue. Whenever I say install my printer, mouse etc... I am prompted for the XP installation CD as the mouse installation (as an example) is looking for files from the i386 folder.
Now, I realise I can modify the registry entry of the i386 folder and copy the folder to my HDD.
However, I would like to know what the cause of this issue is? I have installed XP many a time and never had this.
Thanks, Chris
EDIT - Appears that the "servicepackfiles" directory doesn't even exist! How odd :s
I think I will re-install XP again and report back.
