Xp Firewall

Do you guys recon windows firewall will do.?

or do you recomend a 3rd party firewall for xp.?

thats true, i know he vista firewall filters outbound connections and that, but do you really need it.?

so if i get rid of windows defender, anyone know what a suitable free replacement anti spyware i could give a download.? not just a scanner, one that runs in the background if possible.?
