Hi all,
Trying to get The Internet Connection Sharing to work with XP and two PCs. The 'server' PC has 2 working network cards, and uses a Speedstream ADSL modem (PPPoE).
I've followed a few net guides, and the official windows 'guide', but to no avail.
My best effort was a working ping from the Client computer to the outside IP address to the ISP (internet connection of the server), but i couldn't get any connectivity of any kind beyond this.
It's complicated by the fact their ADSL comes over PPPoE, which apparently doesn't work too well with ICS.
Anyone have any ideas, or know of a solid guide that could help me?
I'd prefer just to pop a router in the middle, but cash for this is a problem for them...
Cheers,
M
