XP install over Vista for 4Gb Ram on Acer 5920g

I was wondering if I could install XP on my 5920G, and assign some of the 4Gb of ram to boost the 256Mb graphics, hence not having compatibility problems with having too much ram. Just a passing thought as I would prefer xp.

Bit out of the topic but how are you finding the 5920G laptop..........? Its a nicely priced laptop at £499 but ive read that acer are prone to overheating issues?

Well it's my first laptop, got it yesturday, so I can't really compare, you can get it for about £480 posted on some sites. Tried running BF2 on native resolution last night and it crashed, but havent really looked into why yet. The bottom can get a bit hot, but like I said I don't really have anything to compare it to.
