Hello all

Just a quick question im sure someone will know the answer to. Last time I reinstalled Windows XP it said that I'd reached the maximum number of times i could activate it. I thought you could install it however many times you want?
I dont want to do a fresh install now incase I can't activate it again.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Iggy

You'll have no problems. If it doesn't activate automatically call the number provided and just say "I have done a format of the PC". They'll give you a new code with no hassle. :)

Oh ok, any reason why it would say what it said though just out of interest?

Yeah it's just because it thinks you may be installing it on more than one PC (which is not allowed). So after a few activations it won't let you do it anymore, but once you've called up it resets it again. :)

I've had to call 2 or 3 times in the past and had no problems. Usually because I've replaced some hardware but the majority of times is because I've just done a format. :)
