Hi, I have tried to install XP numerous occassions (with different discs) but it keeps crashing as it gets to the "Installing Windows" secion on 39 minutes at exactly the same time. I have tried different discs, hard drives, graphics card and ram with no success. Spec:

E4300
P5N-E
2 x 1GB Geil PC6400
2 x 320 7200.10 striped
7800 GTX

Any ideas? I have tried two different copies of Win XP but neither works and both crash at exactly the same stage every time. Any ideas? This system worked fine before the attempted reinstall!

I think it once came up with a virtual memory error if that helps!

When it "hangs", press Shift-F10 to see if you can open a command prompt.
Then goto C:/Windows and type setupapi.log, hit enter.
Read that file and see if you can work out where/why it has stalled.
