XP MCE & Vista Networking Probs..

Hi, just got around to set up Home Network Sharing on my main PC which runs Vista, and have done the same with my laptop which runs XP MCE I can view and see all the shared folders and files however my main problem lies with copying or opening large files say over 20Mb I just get a file corruption or copying error message

The main shared folders are on the Vista machine and I'm accessing them from my Laptop running XP.


Any suggestions? I can post screenshots etc if needed.

How are the two PCs physically connected - via a crossover cable or via a switch or router? Can they both access the internet without problems and download large files?
