XP minimum spec

Can anyone remember the address for the web site where that guy experiments to find the minimum spec he could get XP to run on??

What sort of spec are you planning on?

I've seen it run on a Pentium 200 MMX, 64mb RAM and at 640x480 - not sure I'd like to see all 3 combined, however!

it ran on my 233mhz p1 machine with 64mb ram (i think) at 800x600, slow load but runs ok after that. that machine is now just scrap though and just sitting in the corner collecting dust...im too lazy to dispose of it

i ran it on my tiny 233mhz p2 with 64 mb or ram, was a bit slow, once i put in like 225mb roughly ram it ran must faster

Don't know hw slow it will go but it ran (just) on a customer laptop which was an AMD K6-2 200 with 32Mb RAM. I wouldn't go so far to say it was useable though!

Basically though as long as it's got at least 196Mb RAM I've found it doesn't matter how slow the processor is. Takes an age to boot but once it's there it's fine.

removes windows components to make xp really lite

apparently the base specs were about 233mhz and 64mb ram, of course you can run with lower but you dont want it to literally take half an hour to boot up this 233 is recommended as its usable (Just)
