Hi

I have a dual boot PC with XP on the C drive an Ubutu in another partition.

My XP installation is now messed up and i need to reformat. Can i just install Vista onto drive C and if so does this present any problems? I assume that GRUB will not work properly after this? What do i need to do afet installing VISTA top get grub running the dual boot again?

many thanks

Use EasyBCD, its excellent. I had problems with 1.52's functionality due to a conflict with the version of GRUB I was using and ended up testing the 1.6 alpha/beta for the guy who writes it. 1.6 is definately a must have if you own Vista and want to easily manage Linux installs on different partitions. It really is a huge piece of cake. A++**++*

had a quick look and think i'll try the eloff guide first and if that doesn't work the EasyBCD prog from vista (though the link on their website to the guide doesn't seem to be working at them moment)

thanks

PS - is there anything about vista installs thats different from XP installs - only i have it in the back of my mind that dual booting with vista was supposed to be difficult for some reason?
