Set up is A8NSLi Premium, I have an XP Pro install on SATA 4 on the NVRAID ports - there are three other SATA drives running as plain disks. I have 2 IDE drives which are storage.
I have set up up 4x80GB Seagates on the onboard SIL3114 - The drives are set up in a RAID10 configurtion with 25GB for windows and 124GB for data.
The install has all the SIL drivers in place and I images this onto a drive and then restored to what will be the windows partition on the RAID10 set up.
I have set BIOS to boot from hard drives and can select the SIL3114 but it comes up as a SCSI 50:0-0 or something, when I boot from this I get past the SIL3114 BIOS and yas windows loads I get an INVALID DISK ERROR please insert boot disk.
The drives are SATAII and have jumpers which are set to SATAI at this time. I have no floppy drive to do a fresh install and press the F6 key.
Questions are there any specific settings I'm missing?
Is there any reason why the image of my install onto a plain SATA drive - but with all SIL3114 drives (inc RAID 5 driver) are all installed which I decompressed onto the RAID10 drives won't work?
I set up the RAID10 array before putting anything on these drives, - when the SIL3114 RAIDBIOS set's the drives up - is there anything in this process which could set the drives to be bootable?
How can I boot from these 80GB SATA drives?
