XP or Vista for WoW ?

I run wow as a maximised borderless window, it runs flawlessly and I can have stuff on the other monitor, and switch between them without wow minimising when it loses focus.

It's a more PC macro, not a Less PC macro.

im on vista 64 and wow works perfectly fine. its also pretty handy all the fancy stuff, because i run minimised, if im browsing too i can mouse over the tab on the bar and a little window comes up, and shows the screen in real time so can just keep a mouse over so i can see if i get into trouble while im doing other things

both xp and vista ran wow with no difference what so ever. i tried using playing wow on the same machine with osx, 10 fps less on osx.

tabbing speed is the same with xp and vista if you run it in window mode.

Just moved from 32vista to 64 bit vista a couple of weeks ago, cant say ive noticed any performance differences between the 2.

Playing windowed 1650x1050 on a 1920x1200 screen, browsing and doing any other task while gaming is instant

WoW is so old a good rig running to the maximum capability of XP ("4"GB RAM, Nice CPU and GFX Card) are going to run it amazingly well.

I don't think WoW takes advantage of DX10 in any way so I'd say for this game, upgrading OS has very little point.
