XP Product key

Ok I am using a copy of XP that was pre-intsalled on another computer and yes i realise that my Product Key will be invalid and i will not be able to go past the 30 day activation period . I have tried with the product key and yes it does not work . I also tried every trick in the book with em on the phone , my mobo blew up my hard drive is fubar , blah blah blah .

Now before i go ahead and install more stuff on this machine can i buy a new Product key and use it on this install or do i have to buy another copy of XP intsall that and use the new Product key ?

The product key is a big part of the licence, you can't buy them 'separetly'.

Do you not have a COA with a product key on the side of your computer? Have you got media?

And the product on the COA doesn't work with your media? What CD are you using?
