XP Re-install & My Overclock

Not unless you were doing the overclock via software, if it's all in the BIOS then every thing should be OK.

1 word of advice though, I've always been told that whenever installing an OS to go back to stock to minimise installation problems, not too sure how correct this is these days but it's always something that I've done.

I will do that, thanks for the advice.

If the overclock is 100% Stable, orthos stable...then it will be fine through an install of windows without making anything corrupt. In my experience if its 100% stable its safe to leave the overclock when re-installing but to be on the safe side its good to put it back to stock like the above poster recomends.

I suppose if the overclock is stable then it doesn't matter but it's something that I've always done, you know teach old dogs new tricks :D

Im in two minds now lol. Its a stable overclock as i cant remember when the last time it crashed. I think my pc has only crashed a few times since last october when i built it. I think i will go back to stock as it takes two seconds to change it back anyway.

Thanks all.
