Hi guys

This has probably been asked but...

I have a pc which was brought from an electronics store and it didn't come with any disks, but it did have recovery software to create a disk.

Now the question is, i have a XP SP2 oem disk and my product/serial code sticker on my tower, if i put the code in on installation this should work right?

also any advice on a reinstall like drivers etc...

In answer to the first question: YES if you have the sticker with OEM key on the side and an OEM disk you should be ok.

As for other things to think about:

- Backup all file you may need, not forgetting favourites, emails, My docs, Pics etc
- Download latest drivers for all your hardware and put them on CD (or somwhere you can get at them again)

- Once re-installed, get it updated on Windows Update ASAP
- Install AV software
- Install Firewall.
