Wasn't too sure where to post this but here goes!

When i boot up the pc in normal mode, it sets itself to 640x480 and 4bit, and i can move the sliders around, but when i select a larger resolution, and 32bit it just reverts back to 640x480 and 4bit :S

Now i know its capable of 32bit as the XP start up screen is in proper 32bit, and also the same in safe mode! I don't know what's going on, i've tried to reinstall the onboard motherboard graphics drivers, with no luck, not quite sure what to do now?

Thanks guys,
Jay

Have you tried getting the latest driver off the manufacturers webiste?

Try doing a Windows Update and see if it has any new drivers for you

That's the reason I asked about the motherboard.

I updated a PC a few weeks ago, I think it had SiS, integrated graphics.

When I installed the latest driver via Microsoft Update I encountered similar behaviour as the OP. Rolled back to an earlier driver and all was fine.
