xp remote desktop from osx?

Hi,

I connect to a few different pc's from my laptop using windows xp remote desktop. Is this possible from an apple laptop? or would i need to use some other remote desktop client? probably browser based i guess.

Yep Microsoft has just released a Beta version of its Remote Desktop Client for Mac which now works on Intel Macs too!

Sorry I just need to correct you there...

The previous version(s?) work with intel mac's too the new version brings vista support.

They work but using Rosetta the PowerPC emulator, which is dog slow and uses a lot of memory. I can see the way I put it might imply that Remote Desktop for Mac is a totally new thing (which I agree its not).

Yeah thats what I was saying, but I guess for me on my iMac I havent found it to be slow so you know perhaps on a mini it is slower.

Or just raise two fingers to the lot of them and use VNC - you get local console access more easily, which is much more useful imho.

RDP is a far superior protocol to VNC.
