hi guys

i have a bog standard 100mbit network

Ive shared my music folder and mapped it as a shared drive on my sisters pc

however when shes browsing the "drive" it's quite sluggish, any idea why? I have a sata 2 hd and my pc is idle

you sure she is just browsing, make sure she isnt copying or playing music straight off your drive

Switch or hub and what else is moving over the LAN at the same time ?

its a switch.

nothing going on the lan

she should be able to play stuff and browse anyway
