XP Shutdown problem - Help

Evening...

I have finally decided that all the anti this and defender that aint gonna help me... Every time I shut down the icons start disappearing from the tool bar as normal, then Norton shuts down and then there is a pause (10secs) before a window opens reading "Program not responding - no title"

Been in task manager and there aint nothing in there out the ordinary and anything I have not been sure of a quick Google search of its name soon reveals it purpose, I have run Adaware - reg mechanic - PC Clean up 3 - Norton 2007 -
Spybot search and destroy - System Tweeker - UPH Clean - AVG

I give up please help

Backup your data, perform a clean format and installation of Windows. Install Norton 2007 before anything else and rid yourself of all the third party Adware removers and System tweak utilities.

Sometimes its best just to start again rather than struggle to solve what appears to be a disaster.

Tried uninstalling Norton and seeing if the problem still exists?

Occasionally I get that message, sometimes titles "you should not see this" or something.
Caused by Norton AV in my case.
(but it closes by itself within a few secs)
