Just been told by a friend this is a good tool for increasing the perfomance of any computer. Was interested to hear your opinions first before trying this out.

it does nothing new that either Nlite does or can be done within windows already some of the registry tweaks are not for the faint hearted and if you dont know what the options mean then dont click it!

whilst it probably has many that do increase performance, it may have some that are phantom tweaks or ones that are bad for the system

i'd google each tweak before applying :)

Registry Tweaks are all well and good but if you need more performance, overclock some more or run Linux instead :) It doesn't have registry so it never needs tweaking :p
Most of this stuff is fairly trivial and doesn't make huge differences in 99% of cases.

linux is all well and good if your games and apps run on it
may not need reg tweeking but trying to get some things to work / hardware working may need a lot of tweeking kernel rebuild ***!

back to windows tho, in a way you have a point even tho im not into it as much (probably as i went from a xp2800 1 gig ram to q6600 with 4 gig and over clocked) an efficiently configured box is a good thing in my opinion and was able to run several apps / games this way rather than pump more money into new hardware.
