Behind you... Naked!
I have just decided to go back to a 32 Bit Windows for a bit on oen of my PCs to give SP3 a go, and I setup a SP3 intergrated CD and lo and behold, it wont accept its own serial number?

I thought Id try another one, but thats the same.

I have gone through all my CDs now, looking for a serial that will work, and NOTHING will work for it... NEC, HP, DELL and Retail ( SP1, SP2 and Non-SP Keys ) all failed to run the PC.

There is supposed to be a way that SP3 does not need a Serial but guess what? - if I select YES or NO, I get taken to the enter the Serial number page, so I have to enter a number before it continues?

I want to also phone up MS but I cannot seem to remember the free 0800 number?

Anyone know WTF I can do next?

Many thanks.

Go to MSN Technet and you will find a few of the answers there in some of the bloggs.

Never use anything to do with MSN.

Did you do the slipstream on a Vista machine? That's the only time I've heard of this problem.

Ah, right...

I had a sneaky that there may be somethign like this... Way back with the intergrating into 2K it had to be on a 2K machine, but this all seemed to go in well... Obviously too Well.

Will I have to re-try it on XP32 cos I dont have any XP 32 Bit systems up?

I have XP 64Bit... They seemed to be fine for SP2 in the past, or maybe I will setup a VM perhaps.

Cheers mate.
