XP SP3 release date

Sounds about right, I've been running a early 2008 build on my MacBook for a couple of months now and that was rock solid, haven't had any issues with it at all. I was planning on running it on my desktop but I had sense to move to Vista x64 and it has been great, XP feels like and ageing OS now, I can't live without things like superfetch and start menu search now as it improves my productivity. That said I will continue to run XP on my MacBook for the time being as it is still a solid platform and I don't use it for the same tasks as my desktop.

This is the release schedule for SP3 from the link:

  • April 14, 2008: Support is available for the release version of Service Pack 3 for Windows XP
  • April 21, 2008: Original Equipment Manufacturers, Volume License, Connect, and MSDN and TechNet subscribers
  • April 29, 2008: Microsoft Update, Windows Update, Download Center
  • June 10, 2008: Automatic Updates

yes, but they are released for x64 when server 2003 gets them, and SP2 for 64/2003 came out about 2 years ago, so it'll be a while until we see the 64/2003 version

anyone know the build number for SP3 final?
