XP support & netbook computers

I have read that mainstream XP support will end in January 2009.

But recently there has been an explosion of netbooks being shipped with windows XP.

With XP being given this new lease of life via netbook sales do you think they will extend XP support or screw over all the XP users?

i think oem lisences have been extended for subnotebooks - will check now
