Anyway did you do an upgrade? If so that will have created a Windows.old folder, any user based files should be in there, unless Fallout puts them somewhere odd.
I mean how do i direct fallout to find my game saves as they're now on a second storage drive, i got win7 on a new ssd and my documents is now simply documents, also i don't really want to have the saves on the ssd if possible.
Edit: it's ok i figured it out, you can make folder shortcuts using the mklink command, see this thread here.
