Having a problem with the updating feature in XP. The icon in the taskbar showed downloading updates, but it just disappeared after that- it didn't pop up showing updates are ready for install.
I've uninstalled Internet Explorer.
I disabled Auto updates, then re-enabled it but chose "notify me but...." icon reappeared and allowed me to choose what to install.
