Just a quickie

I am waiting on a 2nd hd so I can install Vista Home Premium as a dual boot with my XP.

Do I need to unplug the XP HD and install the Vista OS on boot up or can I run the DVD from within XP and install to the 2nd drive without screwing things up?

Thanks

All done successfully! I actually like Vista, especially the quick booting!

OK next question. I want to rebuild my XP disk as it is slow and cluttered. Can I do this from within Vista using my CD?

I am planning on using the XP for gaming and downloading stuff and Vista for work and Lightroom/Photoshop stuff. Is there anything software wise that will let me switch quickly from one OS to the other or is a reboot the best/easiest way? I'm sure I have seen something along these lines but I have no idea what it is called.

Thanks

AB

as far as i know, short of virtualisation (which you aren't using in this case) you can only switch by rebooting the pc. far from ideal imo... but it's the only way that i know of.

there's parallels, but that work on virtualisation, which I'm not too clued up on..

google parallels, and read up on it :)
