XP & Vista Networking

I have two XP laptops connected to the router, and now a Vista one.

The problem is, when i connect the two XP laptops, they are fine, whereas if i connect the Vista Laptop, they both lock up and end up with no connection.

They have all got separate IP's, and the XP's work fine, its jsut when the Vista one is connected.

Ive added all IP's etc to the network.

Anything that we're missing on the Vista side? Any settings need to be done?

Im no expert but make sure there all on the same workgroup - I think vista is "WORKGROUP" where as XP is "MSHOME" by default.

Turn off all your firewalls for testing an make sure network Discovery and File sharing are on Vista side - then rebbot router - worked for me

what router is it?

i've had a totally seamless experience with xp & vista networking (besides the initial 300kb/s transfer speeds, which have been fixed through windows updates now)
