Xp - xp service pack 2?

Ok i have a xp service pack 2 disk how can I put this on my windows xp machine without reformating and all? Yes they are legal copies before anyone asks and not dodgey

Is there a program called update.exe on the disk? Never used the disk before, only a downloaded update and in that case there was a folder called update and a file called update.exe to run
