Hi,

I have a notebook PC with the above CPU installed, is there anyway to get it to run at full power all the time instead of having this "Mobile" feature available, when i check the current CPU speed in windows its only running at 550mhz when I know it could be running at a lot more than that.

Is there any benifits of doing this or is it best to leave it as it is?

I'd leave it as it is. It should jump back up when more power is needed.

It's saving battery at the lower speed.

Seems fair enough, ill probably leave it as i dont want to over-run it. just for future reference though is there a way to turn it off?

If you're going by the 'my computer' properties, don't. It changes dynamically but my computer properties only reads it once i suppose, not sure where along the boot up process. Use cpu-z to see real time frequency changes.

Should be called "AMD cool'n'Save"
Or the Intels are called "Stepping"

Or just rip it out the Laptop and overclock it in a Desktop !!! lol
