xp2600 tbred-b running hot?

Hi guys

Im not entirley happy with the temps im getting on an xp2600. It's hitting 60c idle with a coolermaster x-dream on fullspeed (fan has a rheostat built in)

All I did was take out an xp1800 t-bred and plonk this xp2600 in and put a dap of goop on the core and leave the cpu at stock settings

Stability wise everything is ok but even my barton 2800 runs cooler than this lol

Hmmm I made sure the heatsink was clean before re-applying it, made sure the cpu was flat in the socket and also made sure the core was clean before applying the heatsink goop stuff

Then I reset/cleared the cmos... still sat at 60c
I do wonder if the board is just cack at reporting temps, its a cheapy ECS L7VTA thing in my daughters pc

I havent got the time to keep messing with it so I shall leave it for now and just see what happens, also played a game or two to put the cpu underload and the temps only went up a bit lol

Yes done all that m8, double checked all around the socket area aswell
