XP32 or XP64?

Hi,

My mate has just built a new allendale PC. Should he install windows 32 or windows 64? (or doesn't it matter?)

ASRock mobo, Allendale CPU, 6800LE gfx, 2GB DDR ram, 320GB SATA HDD.

He had the gfx card spare, hence the bizarre combination of AGP card + core duo mobo.

It depends what drivers are available for the hardware he has. Also it would depend on what he uses his computer for, there aren't 64bit versions of every piece of software out yet. I'd say until at least Vista hits a service pack your best bet would be to dual boot with both if there are lots of things that can only run off 32bit windows.
