XP64 Lock-up

You will be surprised what can cause systems to lock up, i once left an ide cable in an old cd drive but took the power cable out thinking this would just disable the cd drive, but then every time i booted the system froze, i took the ide cable out and it booted fine
I took it out, been uninstalling software left right and centre to find the culprit and just when i think i've found the cause and it stops locking up.... it happens again.
Suddenly realised that my Linksys wireless card was still in the pc and it wasn't there before i reinstalled windows.
God i hope that stops these lock-ups!
Yep that worked....bloody Linksys - i've used your hardware for the last time!
