XP64 Only showing one core when Ive a dual

Hi guys my xp64 is only showing single core but ive a dualcore chip. Is there anyway of getting xp to see it without having to reinstall? Yeah its an intel chip

Have you upgraded from a single core and using the same OS install?

Nope was a clean install and did work. Install has been on a good while and have just noticed today one core has dissapeared.

If on task manager, you click on the performance tab, then click on "view" and select "CPU History", is it set to "One Graph PER CPU" ?

Is there a setting in your BIOS to enable/disable each core?

Down to the HAL maybe?

Does it show one processor in device manager or performance manager or both?

What driver is your CPU using?

Multiprocessor ACPI?
