You would be a fool to run XP by now really (sorry to everone who is), i was resisting the switch till last summer when i finally got it, and its a lot better (rubbish way to justify it but you know).
The best way to explain it is try using vista on a pc you built, like and generally feel is yours (i found i didnt like it on the laptops i'd been given) as when i put it on my desktop pc it was really really nice tow work with.
Plus theres no compatability problems with vista x64

Telescope software, firmware software etc dont work on the x64 bit . . . . . Plus some utilities etc also will not run. But thats not Vistas fault . . .
Thats why my lappy runs XP 32-bit. But I have been running Vista x64 for over a year - year and a half now with no problems at all.
