Xperia Z1 compact, z2 compact soon?

Hey, currently have a htc one x, it was a insurance replacement from vodafone when my Galaxy nexus went for a swim in the toilet, not nice...

Anyway, its a pile of rubbish and I have hated it the entire time I have owned it, its now got to the point where the battery cannot survive to lunch time before hitting orange on the battery.

So I have been looking for a replacement and I am not impressed with all the new devices, they are all massive. Who the hell wants a 5" odd device in their pocket on a daily basis....not me anyway!
I have even considered a Nokia 206 and 301, it has bluetooth, whatsapp etc, shame it doesn't have wifi and tethering!

Anyway, So my requirements:

* Battery life
* Not massive!
* Did I say battery life

So that leads me to the Xperia Z1 compact, the reviews love it, battery life seems to be consistently a positive and its as fast as the regular Z1.

So it seems the perfect device for me, only thing stopping me is reading a few things about potentially a z2 compact coming out soon?

Googling isn't throwing up much information except it has been named the A2.

Can anybody shed some light on this new A2 and when its likely to arrive??

Judging from Sony's release cycle, I would say September is the expected date for the Z2 Compact.

I found a Z1 compact in green on the train, it got blocked though by the time I'd got home, I ended up getting hold of the owner and he come and collected it and gave me £50, was a great phone though (I did have a little play with it!)
