I've always used the free Transcode 360 which does a few extra things too.
It works beautifully and has matured nicely recently. Give it a go, it is FREE after all :)
Transcode 360

I was ready to give this a go until I saw the bit about requiring MCE :p

Just another piece of pretty software for those who cant be bothered to hunt around for something that does that same job for free.

But does xploder let you stream the videos to you 360 oin *** fly so to speak witout converting the vid file first?

Gonna put this transcode software on my alt PC later on and try out some .ts and xvid file streaming, it's meant to be awesome. Can't wait, I've been gagging to watch some films in high def on my panny viera.

has transcode improved a lot then? everytime i tried to use it all my video files kept losing audio sync.

Paul ...
Transcode 360 is on version 4.1 now and I've seen some pretty major updates on each release.

Most significant is that every single avi etc will now work with no problems, and that you can also play an ISO dvd file.

Regarding transcode, anyone having problems it taking up too much CPU usage. Memcoder seems to take 100% most of the time :(

I have 2gb of ram and an AMD 3400+.
