Xposed Framework or Custom Rom?

I currently have a Nexus 4 rooted and running Paranoid Android. I seem to be seeing more and more lately about using a stock ROM and then Xposed framework and modules to customise the Android experience. I'm tempted to give it a try, just wondering what the opinions of anybody whose tried it are.

I'm using Xposed framework and modules on my Nexus 4 and 5 with the latest Paranoid Android and am so amazed with the amount of stuff you can do with the modules.
It kinda kills the need to flash customer roms with a lot of these features baked in.
I'm tempted to flash a stock image with Xposed, but to be fair PA has been a very stable rom for me.
