I've got a XPS1210 which was running perfectly on Vista Ultimate SP1 - it has the Intel PRO wireless 3945ABG installed. This morning I decided to use Windows update to update my sound card drivers and from that point onwards I have not been able to connect to my home network or the internet.
I had to roll back to a previous restore point to get the sound to work after that point (it said there was no sound card installed!) and now I have lost the network. I can however connect directly via ethernet, so it suggests the Intel driver is screwed? I've tried roll back and uninstalling and re-installing the network card without success.
