XPS 1710

There are a few around, mostly video card bios tweaks, but you get thermal issues pretty quickly as with most laptops.

I've not seen any BIOS mods to allow CPU overclocking. Only if you have a T7600G in the M1710 can you overclock it. There is a BIOS flash to remove the frequency lock on the graphics card, I've got mine up to 650 core 750 ram from 575/600

can i get a beta/ bios for this dell that will allow me to oc
Put it simply, no.

Unless you have the T7600G processor, there is no way to overclock the cpu, the graphics card on the other had just requires a quick reflash to the same bios but without the clock lock.

I was supplied a test bios on my m1710 that was unlocked and allowed the motherboard to overclock instead of the cpu multi but that was installed by a dell technician to see what was causing the problems on my machine. Unfortunatly I wasn't allowed to have the bios file for myself. :(:p
