XPS CPU dropping to 1.1ghz then back up to 2.5ghz??

Hi Guys

I have noticed my CPU dropping to 1.1 x6 ????

The backup to 2.5ghz x 12.5?? Is this normal or should I be changing something within the bios??

speedstep, when full power isn't needed it throttels back to save power

Ah phew I thought I'd brought a dud laptop then...

Just saw speedstep in the bios actually.....

Build quality is fantastic, keyboard is great to type with, screen isn't an LG but doesn't look "grainy" to me so I'm not worried about that as yet if at all.. As soon as I got it I formatted the drive and install Vista 64bit Ultimate

I have a slight click on the hard drive at times which I'm keeping me eye/ear on as this can fade after a few days/weeks of usage, failing that I'll Acronis "C" drive and call Dell for a replacement..

General desktop stuff is very swift and a pleasure to do.. Gaming is great, CSS, Insurgency, COD4 all play very well with good smooth frame rates....

I may upgrade to a 7200rpm drive and a 9cell battery in the not to distant future but other than that I'm very happy with the purchase...
