i ordered an m1330 yesterday with the following spec

2.5ghz
LED screen
4gb ram
320gb HD
6 cell battery

it comes with a 90w power supply which i've read is a bit of a chunk. has anyone that got the 90w power supply used a 65w travel power supply?

will this cause any problems? other than the battery taking longer to charge?

should be delivered in the morning, quicker than the 24th when it was expected so i can see just how big and heavy the 90w power supply is..

just arrived, i dont think i'll bother with a travel adapter, the 90w power supply is small, i was expecting a huge heavy power supply like my fujitsu amilo d1845 - phew :)

excellent little laptop, will wipe it and put vista 64bit on tonight at work :D

yep the fingerprint reader works perfectly on mine aswell.

just installed vista 64, and updating to sp1 at the moment.

i had fun finding the following drivers, as they arent on the drivers disk or dells site for vista 64 on the m1330 - got them in the end though...

- memory card driver
- touchpad driver
- 10/100 ethernet
- upek fingerprint reader + security suite
- graphics driver 8400 gs (windows update)

i've not played any game on it yet - will probably install a couple at some point.

all i've done is format and partitioned the drive + installed vista home premium 64 (activates fine with the serial on the bottom of laptop) + installed sp1. put all the 64 bit drivers on (can upload all the missing ones to a file share site if anyone needs them) and installed a load of apps.

the is a vista tweek guide here that looks handy --> http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=166532 not gone through that yet though.

also enabling virtualization in the bios is ment to make a difference to performance - not sure what it does though.
