xps m1330 processor question

I've been waiting for a 2.5ghz (6mb cache) with the system spec i'm looking for to turn up on the outlet site with no luck yet so will probably go for a 2.2 or 2.4.

probably a stupid question but will the 2.2 with 4mb cache or the 2.4 with 3mb cache be the faster machine?

I'm fairly sure the 2.4GHz processor you are speaking of is the Penryn family of processors. If this is true, I personally would go for this as it gives much better performance and battery life as said by the people of 'The Internet'.

thanks, i've also had a search of the web and it also looks like the 2.4 is the one to go for as you say the battery life is longer - performance is ment to be slightly better than the 2.2.
