XPS M1530 Laptop SATA drivers?

Erm, why do you want to do that?
Had a quick look in the bios, you can set to boot from hd, cd/dvd, usb, nic and diskette....
dunno if diskette means sd though.
whats wrong with your hard drive?
or, is the xp disc you are installing from at least sp2?

Asked on Dell forums too, apparently its not possible.

I just wanted to be able to do it for a little project - guess I'll just use a pen drive.

It's not possible because Dell aren't writing any XP drivers for their newer systems (with the exception of Latitude and Precision systems). It's been that way for a while now.

Because I work for them, we come across that quite a lot.
