Can anyone recommend a replacement HDD for my XPS1530 please.

I'm a little unsure as to exactly what I should be looking for in terms of connection, size, speed, heat, etc, etc.

TIA.

What do you want from it, capacity or speed?
If you want speed then SSD. If storage then whatever the largest capacity you can afford.
I beleive that is a standard 2.5" SATA drive so you have lots of options depending on what you need it for.

Want nothing more than a simple replacement harddrive as mine is starting to produce errors (or so Windows7 is warning me anyway).

Thanks for the reply, certainly helped narrow it down. :)

This is a good quality fast drive for just under £50. It will work perfectly in your XPS M1530. I have a XPS M1330 which has the exact same hard drive setup - SATA-II 2.5" drive (mentioned above by emailiscrap).

If it's a bit more than you were willing to spend you could drop the speed and/or capacity and save about £10-£15. If the capacity is too small, you could go for a 500GB for about £20 more.

Thanks rpg, will be making a purchase before the weekend as the amount of errors I'm getting (or warnings) is starting to panic me.

Thanks to you both again.
