Hi

I bought this cooler secondhand and it came without a manual. I have the LGA 1366 frontplate, but does anyone know how this thing is installed? Apparently it doesn't use a backplate, but it is impossible to get any info from xpsc's website about it.

Did the item arrive with 4 long screw threads, nut and Nylon washers?

If its like my Heatkiller block you mount the 4 bolts through the 4 holes with a nylon washer either side then place the nut to secure the bolts (the nut will be cpu side). Then place the cooler on the cpu and use the spring and larger thumb nut to tighten down the cooler block.

Should have a backplate and a rubbber grommet I used to run one on 1156. The backplate is almost identical to the pushdown plate the grommet is similar to the backplate and goes between the back of the mobo and backplate. It should work just using bolts theough I would try and fashion a backplate if possible.
