Hey All
I have an xserve (10.5.8) and want to set up a computers workgroup for controlling printers and desktops in certain classrooms.
I have managed to set up the groups and set the pref settings, but I cant add the Macs to the group.
The Macs I want to add were rebuilt over the summer break and have been moved and renamed. When I move them from my LDAPv3 Directory into the group the old computer name pops up. I guess the old addresses are being held on the Server and linked to the MAC addresses.
Is there a command that any of you guys know about to resync the DNS from the Windows server. I have tried a DNS cache flush but that doesnt work.
I am a bit of a newbie on Macs so please be gentle
