Morning everyone, I just joined this forum today.

Last week, I bought 2 MSI 7990 with 2 XSPC waterblock , I am not a novice in installing waterblocks, though I find no luck in getting these right no matter how I change the sequence of tightening screws (coz there are 2 GPUs) , direction of water flows, even tried individually in the loop..etc etc.
The problem is, fairly constant with the results. GPU 1 always have temp. below 60 under load while both GPU 2 shoot right up to 100 without hesitation.

I was wondering if there is a catch in how to get it right as I've tried 5 times each remounting, which was a pain in the Axxx! you need to drain and fill everytime you know. Its really driving me nuts!
Please help if anyone have the same situation could come up with a solution.

Cheers!:confused::confused::confused:

yes I do, I followed every steps on the installation guide. Can you imagine 5 re-mount and testing individually in the loop?? A lot of draining and filling work to do....staining my carpet all blue....>><<

I tried an xspc on my 7990 and it never made proper contact, ek on other hand is perfect

I totally agree. Why I choose XSPC at the first place was I used to have 2 XSPC 780 waterblock which I was very happy with and also they costs a little bit more that I was thinking they would have a better performance.

If your having problems, switch the 2 blocks completely, but keep the cards in the same slot, if card 1 then becomes hot, you know it's a problem with the block, get it rma'd if there's a problem.

EK one.

AS you can see from the photo, the 2nd GPU area from XSPC one, there is a large stagnant pool of coolant.
While you can't see that from EK. I was thinking that might be the reason for the high temp. from the 2 nd GPU. Dunno if that make sense.
