XSPC Pump top not round..

I've just got my new XSPC reservoir pump top through the post today, but on inspection, the bit that fits over the impeller doesn't look round!

I have compared it to my old Petras Tech top which is perfectly round. I don't want to empty my loop to fit this if its not going to work. There were also several parts missing from the packaging like installation guide and led. I would be willing to let these slide for the sake of the hassle but if the top isn't round I might as well not fit it!

Does this look OK to you.. (Sorry for the bad pics, it looks a lot less round in real life!)

Can't say i'd be happy with that, doesn't look right at all, and I wouldn't be happy with the bits missing either.

Yeh, it doesn't even look like it will fit over my impeller.. Guess I'll be on the phone to OcUK shortly!

It's supposed to be like that. The volute near the outlet is what give it extra gains over most other tops. Circles are simply easier to machine.

Ahh fair one, thanks for the info.. Am getting a replacement off of OcUK anyway to get the missing parts. Not that I really need them, but if I ever sell it on again I can sell the complete package!

Supposed to be like that - the spiral shape makes the pump more efficient...
